Elevated Tax & Accounting (“ETA,” “we,” “us”) operates the website at www.etataxaccounting.com. This policy explains what information the website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
This policy covers our website. If you are a client of the firm, the information you share with us during tax, accounting, payroll or advisory work is governed separately by our professional obligations and by the privacy notice we provide to clients directly.
Information you give us
The contact form on this site asks for your name, email address, company name, a subject line, and your message. We only receive this information if you choose to send it.
We use it to answer you. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing.
If you leave a comment on a blog post, we receive the comment text along with the name and email address you enter, and the IP address the comment came from. Comments are reviewed before they appear.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: your general location, the type of device and browser you are using, which pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses them for two things: keeping the site fast, and understanding how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful, so we know what to improve. It tells us things like how many people visited a page and how long they stayed. It does not tell us who you are. Google’s own privacy terms govern how they handle this data, and you can opt out using Google’s browser add-on.
Google reCAPTCHA
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block automated spam. To do that, it checks signals from your browser and device. This is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms of service.
How long we keep information
Messages sent through the contact form are kept as long as we may reasonably need them to serve you, and are deleted when they are no longer needed. Comments and their associated data are kept indefinitely so that follow-up replies can be recognized and approved automatically. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention settings.
Records relating to professional engagements are kept for the periods required by law and by professional standards, which are generally longer.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only in these situations:
- With service providers who help us run the website and our email, and only to the extent they need it to do that work.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- With your permission.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the website contact form. That includes Social Security numbers, bank account or routing numbers, and tax documents. If you need to send us something sensitive, call the office at 330-686-6666 and we will arrange a secure method.
Your choices
You can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
- Ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
- Ask us to stop contacting you.
To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first, particularly where financial records are involved.
Children
This website is intended for adults and for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites we do not control, including our wealth management partner. Once you follow a link away from our site, this policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the page itself.
